Another Busy Week at Sandgate Glass
It’s been another whirlwind week here at Sandgate Glass, filled with a mix of work, festive outings, and a touch of trivia victory! One highlight was acing a "Name the Film" quiz and winning a box of biscuits. I’m pretty sure this just confirms how much time I spend watching TV, but no regrets! My husband isn’t complaining—he’s happily working his way through the chocolate-covered ones, which I sadly have to avoid thanks to my pesky kidneys.
Where’s the Christmas Spirit?
Despite all the Christmas meals and festivities, I must admit I haven’t felt very Christmassy yet this year. The decorations are still tucked away in the loft, and I haven’t played a single carol or festive tune. The house has been taken over by deliveries and a few jobs that needed doing, leaving it cluttered and chaotic (though, honestly, that’s not far from the usual state!). Once things settle down, I’m hoping the Christmas spirit will finally kick in.
A Studio Makeover
One exciting project I’ve been working on is clearing out my home studio. My goal is to set up a dedicated desk for stained glass work, allowing me to move out of the chilly garage. It’s been quite the task, but I can already see how much more enjoyable it will be to have a cosy indoor space for creating my pieces.
Thinking Ahead: Flowers and Teamwork Thursday
While it might not feel like Christmas yet, I’ve been dreaming ahead to spring! I’ve started planning the garden for next year, which inspired this week’s Teamwork Thursday theme: flowers. Aren’t they so cheerful and vibrant? They’re a lovely reminder that brighter, warmer days are on their way. If you’d like to explore some beautiful floral creations, click the pictures to visit the shop and see what’s on offer.
Wishing you all a fantastic week ahead—stay warm and take care! 🌟
