An Odd Week at Sandgate Glass: Snow, Spring Blooms, and Staying Cosy

This week has been a bit unusual here at Sandgate Glass! Early in the week, we had a snow shower—a rare occurrence in my corner of the world. While the snow didn’t stick (aside from a light dusting on the cars), it’s always magical to see it falling. There’s something so peaceful about watching snowflakes from the window while staying cosy and warm indoors.

That said, I did have to brave the cold and head out to my chilly garage for some soldering. I’ve been lucky enough to sell two of my Spring-themed leaves this week (thank you so much to my lovely customers!). If you’d like to see them, you can find them here

Speaking of Spring, nature has thrown me another surprise—a daffodil has bloomed in my garden! Isn’t that strange? I can’t decide whether it’s very late or very early. Does this mean we’re in for a harsh winter or a mild one? I’d love to hear your thoughts—leave a comment below!

Staying Cosy at Home

Other than venturing out for soldering, dialysis three times a week, and taking William for his walks, I’ve been very content staying warm at home. There’s something so comforting about curling up in the warmth when it’s chilly outside, don’t you think?

To help you create that cosy feeling, I’ve picked some fabulous handmade finds for this week’s Teamwork Thursday over on The British Craft House. These items are perfect for making your home snug and inviting this winter. Just click the photos below to shop directly from these talented makers.

Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead—stay warm and cosy! 😊
